Grace Sleeping Pretty.

I talked with Sadie today, and I heard Grace crying in the background. It was so sweet! Sadie says she slept through the night after a busy day of doctor check-ups and diaper changes. I'm so excited for Sonja to meet her. It is crazy to think that when Grace is Sonja's age, Sonja will be gearing up for the 1st grade!.... Sorry, I just fainted...

Hello Gracey.

I would like to introduce you to Grace Aspen Enright Williams. She surprised Sadie and Cody a week early, arriving at 5:30 on Sunday morning. Mike, Elaine and Lindsey are beaming and we can't wait to meet her.

Valentine's, Hockey, and a Happy Birthday

That pretty much sums up my weekend. It began with my first attempt at having Sonja make Valentines. She made them for her daddy, grandma and grandpa, and her babysitter... Well, I made them and she drew pictures and kissed them with bright red lipstick.

She wasn't as into it as I thought she would be. I think she got tired of me limiting her to only one section of the card to express her love through art. I imagined her with a French beret screaming, "Mommy, I just can't work like this!" And I'm sure my constant reapplying of lipstick got old too. Maybe she'll come up with something funner next year.

On Valentine's Day, Angel was sneaky and surprised us with flowers, cards, and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us on the kitchen table when we got home. Sonja got tickets to Disney on Ice, but quickly tossed them aside to play with her toy microphone and kaleidescope.

Go Grizzlies!

Thanks to Tenille's high-rollin' co-workers, we got tickets for a luxury suite at the Grizzlies game on Friday. Thanks Tenille, it was a blast!

Happy Birthday Kale!

Randee had a Finding Nemo birthday for Kale's birthday #2. Sonja made two friends that were at least 5 years old, and when one of their parents asked me how old she was, they gasped, "Only 2! I can't believe how well she's able to keep up with them." AHHHH, STOP GROWING UP, SONJA! She got her pent up, two-year old frustrations out on the poor Nemo piñata, and scored big with 2 cup-fulls of candy. It was a great time.

What I Love Most About My Valentines

ANGEL
  • He loves making me laugh, and he does everyday.
  • When he comes home, without fail, he bursts through the door and goes right for Sonja, tickling her, throwing her in the air, and rolling around with her, making her laugh like only he can.
  • His FRIENDS are his FAMILY.
  • He LOVES hip-hop, but he doesn’t just absent-mindedly bob his head to the beat (like I do). He has to understand and appreciate the message, and then he marvels at how the words are put together.
  • He is a great dancer. He puts me to shame on the dance floor, but at least he twirls me around so it looks like I know what I'm doing. It was definitely his sweet moves that made me fall head over heels.
  • Me encanta cuando él habla español. Es tan caliente!
  • He adores my family and my friends, and they adore him.
  • He has infinite patience, which balances out my frequent lack-there-of.
  • He is an incredible father. I know Sonja will grow to be a strong, confident woman because of his example.
SONJA
  • Her gorgeous, big, curious brown eyes.
  • She looks like her handsome daddy.
  • She amazes us everyday as she learns and grows.
  • She loves music! Her current favorites are: Psycho Killer, or as she calls it, Fah, Fah, Fah – Talking Heads, Blister in the Sun – Violent Femmes, Wild, Wild Life – Talking Heads, Umberella – Rhianna, and Clumsy – Fergie.
  • After I read her a bedtime story, she has to have her turn to read it back to you. She looks at the pictures and gives you her version of the story.
  • She is just like her mommy! In the morning, she kicks and screams and just refuses to get up, she sticks out her pinky, and she kneads like a kitten with her toes when she is trying to get comfortable.
  • She makes my dad smile and his face light up like I’ve never seen before.
  • I miss her, even before she’s left my sight.
  • When she’s hurt or sick or sad, it’s me she calls for and my embrace that calms her. I can tell you that there is no greater feeling.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

My Very Own Blog

Yay! Now I can keep being nosy, or a burrow as my dad would say, and read everyone else's blog without feeling guilty that I don't dish out my own dirt.

I sent these photos to my parents last week, and as I showed them off to the girls at work I said, "If I had a blog, I suppose this would be my post today." Thus my very own blog was born.
